Look What The Lord Has Done!

            The testimonies you are about to read are from individuals that have been touched in the revival services.  Revelation 12:11 say, “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.” Our prayer is that your faith will be ignited as you read what God has done.

            The day I received Jesus was the second week of the revival, when our boss invited my sister and me.  So we went and that night I received God and ever since then my problems and worries have just vanished away.  My troubles were left behind like some of my bad habits:  drinking, partying, and staying out till all hours of the night dancing.  Now I dance and party for the Lord.  He has provided me with a lot of things that I needed, and met financial problems as well.  But, the most exciting thing that God has done is that he delivered my sister from doing evil things.  I’m so thankful for our boss who took the time to invite us, and God for delivering us from evil.  Thank you God, for being there for us.  May the Lord bless my family and let’s keep the revival going, in full force!!!

                God delivered me from Satan.  He was making me stay home and not go to church.  God also baptized me and took all my sins away and I just want to thank the Lord for doing all this wonderful stuff for my family.  He has really changed them a lot.  The Lord also saved half my family so far, but this revival is what did it.  So we just hope it can continue.  God has also help and healed a lot of people when they were really sick.  I just want to thank the Lord very much for forgiving my sins and alway being there for me.  Also, I want to thank Him for creating me.  I really want to thank you for putting us with a family that believes in the Lord.  We also have faith in the Lord.  I have learned the Lord never turns you down.

            I believe that revival was already breaking out at Haskell before the official start of this revival.  I had been diagnosed with cancer in December, 1998.  It was quite a blow to hear those words, but I knew God was still in the healing business.  We went home and begin praying and asking others to pray also.  I returned to Dr. Heaven on Jan. 6, 1999 for more blood tests and a bone marrow test.  When the doctor came in he looked at the results and had a very confused look and he said, “why are your here?”  “What were we going to do?”  I said, “bone marrow test.”  Doctor said, “I don’t think so.”  Then he showed us the test results and all my blood counts were normal.  I asked the doctor, “Is it O.K. if I give God the praise?”  I AM HEALED!  That was four days before our scheduled revival started and God hasn’t stopped moving in such an awesome way.  Every night is totally different.  I thank God for his power falling on me night after night and for the spiritual growth due to the teaching of God’s word and for being willing to submit to the Lord.  Thank you God for getting rid of all the junk in my life and He’s still working on me.

            One Wednesday night we had a baptismal and communion service.  When you walked into the church you could already feel the Holy Spirit in this place.  I came expecting and I received.  I had wanted to be re-baptized, but I was sick and felt that I shouldn’t get wet.  When I arrived at church Bro. Maxwell said, “Bro. Amburn wants you to help him.”  So I go up behind the baptismal to open and close the curtain.  Oh! What a mighty move of God’s awesome power.  When each person went under God’s anointing went all over me.  God was baptizing me spiritually in His flowing river.  Praise God!  I was re-baptized without the physical water.

            Then once again God has healed me on February 23, 1999.  I came to church with my left arm in terrible pain.  Bro. Maxwell asked for all the sick to stand and come forward.  When he prayed for me I felt an instant flowing of God’s healing virtue go through my arm.  I am healed!

            I could never praise Jesus enough for all He is doing here and in my own life.  Thank God for answering our prayers for revival.

            What has happened to me?  January 1, 1999 I was looking for a church, one where I could be fed.  I was starving.  I found it.  They told of a coming revival.  I have been to revivals, but never revived.  Here I have been revived with a closer walk with God.  I had to get rid of some stuff to get there.  I had become indifferent, that had to go.  I had an attitude problem, it had to go.  There were other things that had to go.  I have a deeper love for my wife and people around me not only the ones who are loveable and a greater need to reach the lost and see them rooted in the word of God.

            I praise God for a chance to walk closer to God each day.

                God has done so much for us during this revival, with more to come.  For me, He continues to draw me closer to Him everyday.  I have yearned for this closeness for a long time.  The closer I get to Him, the more I see needs to be let go of in my life, even those things that always seemed to be just fine, are not “just fine” anymore.  Anything, regardless of how nice it appears, I do not want it keeping me from God’s best.

            Since the revival started January 10, 1999, the Lord has been so real to me.  I feel closer to Him then I have in years.  I was having headaches for almost a year.  I would wake up in the morning with the headache and go to bed with one.  I was prayed for and have not had the headache since.  I had a stomach problem and had been on a very strict diet for five years.  I was prayed for on February 16, 1999, and have eaten anything I wanted every since.  I had a pinched nerve in my neck which was causing lots of pain and I could hardly turn my head.  I was up for prayer on Sunday morning February 21, 1999, by the time I had returned to my seat the pain was gone and has not returned.  Praise the Lord.  God is so good.  I can never thank Him enough, He blesses in very service, and I leave looking forward to the next service.  Praise the Lord!

            God healed me from a cough.  He healed me from a headache too.  I love you Lord, thank you Lord.  You died on the cross for our sins.  We love you Lord.  You changed us Lord from bad things.  Now you made us a new person.  Now we listen to church music.

We are now into our seventh week of revival at Haskell, Texas.  God has done so very much during these weeks.  Many people coming in, souls saved, filled with Holy Ghost, healing, re-dedications.  I’m thankful for the word of God that has cut open my heart and for the cleansing that has come through prayer and fasting.  When you walk into the church you can feel the awesome power of God.  It’s wonderful; we had the most awesome baptismal and communion service I’ve ever witnessed.  The mighty power of God was falling on each one that was baptized and on us watching.  The river of God was truly flowing.

            On February 11, 1999, I received a call from a relative that my uncle who was like a brother to me was found dead that morning.  I was totally devastated and could not accept it.  At the end of church Sunday night Bro. Mike Randle told Bro. Maxwell that there was someone here with a heart problem to come and God would heal them; then he said, “there’s someone here with a broken heart that God wants to heal,” that was me.  God did a miracle for me, He gave me a peace so I could accept the death.

            I was sick all night February 21, 1999 and really didn’t feel like coming to church on Sunday morning, but I did.  I did not want to miss church.  During Sunday School I began to get sicker and I had to leave, but I came back because I was not going to be denied my healing.  I was prayed for and God healed me instantly.  I’m so thankful for Jesus and His love for all of us.  I’m still believing God for our children’s salvation because God does not lie, His word is true and I’m claiming their salvation with Job 33:15.

            I’m thankful for the unity and love that is growing in our church and our hearts, for the burden for the lost that’s been renewed in my heart.  God is so awesome.  I love Him above all things.
